We Are 1's Brand Ambassador, Janiyah Powell, doesn't just represent our Brand; she also represents the very core of what we stand for. Her commitment isn't surface-level, like most 'brand ambassadors'. Janiyah is 100% committed to the We Are 1 Movement. Our Brand Ambassador has become the Ambassador of Change. This is why she is ALWAYS in the community walking side-by-side with us.

     Boots-on-the-ground, door-to-door, eye-to-eye, building relationships with the community, helping those in need, and putting in real community work while being a superb role model for our other youth. We have changed the rules of community engagement, and she has changed the rules of being a Brand Ambassador.

Janiyah's consistent academic accomplishments have set the tone for the other youth in the Movement. She has been selected as the Urban League of Rochester's Black Scholars Early Recognition Program, accepted into, and passed the Monroe County Sheriff's Office 2021 Teen Police Academy. Janiyah has received the Urban/Suburban Core 4 Award for consistently maintaining an outstanding GPA in Math, ELA, Science, and History. Although Janiyah has received numerous acceptance letters from some of the most prestigious Colleges and Universities in the United States. Janiyah now attends North Carolina Central University and is a straight-A student. We are incredibly proud and honored to have Janiyah as our Brand Ambassador.
